Bypassing Vault: Gmail & Hangouts

Do you know what Vault isn’t storing from Gmail? Yes, we’ve covered confidential emails in a previous article, but we aren’t talking about those, we are referring to everyday emails that are sent and received…. and not captured in Vault.

In this vlog, Tom identifies content that Vault is not retaining from Gmail and gives insights on where in the Admin console you can find the settings to ensure everything is being properly stored. Likewise, Tom also covers the upcoming transition from classic Hangouts, originally stored in Gmail, to the new Hangouts chat service and how to ensure you don’t experience any data loss when the transition takes place next June.

Every setting in the Admin console can have large and critical implications if they are not properly configured.
