Customers who have added a support contract to their purchase of Google Workspace for Education editions, Amplified IT SaaS tools, or our partner solutions, have always had access to the support, consultancy, migration, provisioning, and training teams. To receive proactive assistance, our specialists were reached via our support ticketing system, email, and live video conferences, and contracted support hours were docked in 15-minute increments. While this is still the process, Support Stacks makes navigating your Google adoption roadmap even more efficient and effective.

Support Stacks are brief engagements with the Amplified IT support team. They are designed to provide clear deliverables around key topics and common pain points, and to utilize less than 10 hours of contracted support time. Also, as the name suggests, the Support Stacks can be stacked on each other, depending on a district’s needs. This new service makes it easier to track how many hours you’re using, and what you’re using it on.

When Amplified IT’s support team released Support Stacks in March 2021, there were only 3 categories of support. Now, there are 6 categories to choose from:

  • Storage Insights: Learn how file storage is used within a Google Workspace for Education tenant, and determine current total usage, top users, and top storage usage cases to help plan for future controls over usage to best fit educational purposes

  • OU Restructure: See your current OU structure, receive a recommendation for OU structure changes, and a completed OU restructure, including moving users as needed

  • GAM Setup & Best Practices: Command line tool that can be used to perform bulk actions, access data, and create automated Google Workspace for Education workflows

  • Google Voice Numbers Cleanup: The removal of unassigned Google Voice numbers to avoid incurring additional billing costs

  • Gmail Security: Optimizing Gmail settings to ameliorate issues with usability and security

  • BigQuery: Exporting Google Workspace log and usage reports in to Google BigQuery with Standard and Plus editions

GAM is an open source command line tool for making changes to projects in the Google Admin console. Because GAM allows for bulk actions, you and your IT staff will no longer have to consume your time with manually performing tasks.
