Support Stacks: Getting the most out of Technical Support

3/10/21

The team at Amplified IT is committed to your success. To that end, we’re excited to announce the launch of our Support Stacks to help you plan how you will use your support hours. For Google admins, it is easier than ever to plan tangible projects around your support hours.

Support hours have long been a standing offering from Amplified IT, serving as an extra layer of support for Google admins. Many districts rely upon our Google expertise to consult with our support team for project planning and tailored training that aligns with their current skill level and pain points to achieve a specific outcome. Over time we’ve learned where schools typically require additional guidance and support, and to make such support accessible, we’re launching Support Stacks.

We are introducing Support Stacks to simplify the way you use Support for projects. These “Stacks” are brief engagements with the Amplified IT Support team that have clear deliverables around key topics or pain points. They are designed to utilize less than 10 hours of contracted support time, and may, as the name suggests, be stacked one upon the other, depending on your district’s needs. The goal is to leverage best practices and expertise to help districts more clearly navigate their Google adoption roadmap.

We will be releasing several Support Stacks in the coming months, but here are the first ones:

  • Storage Insights This engagement lets you see how file storage is used within a Google Workspace for Education tenant. Determining current total usage, top users, and top storage usage cases will help plan for future controls over usage to best fit educational purposes. Additionally, GAM installation and command support will be provided to help schools take action on findings as appropriate.

  • OU Restructure Functional OU structure is key to efficient Google Workspace for Education setup and management. This engagement lets you see your current OU structure, receive a recommendation for OU structure changes, and a completed OU restructure, including moving users as needed.

  • GAM Setup & Best Practices GAM is a powerful command-line tool created and available in the open-source community that can be used to perform bulk actions, access data, and create automated Google Workspace for Education workflows. Leveraging Google’s public APIs, GAM is a free tool This engagement aids you in the setup of GAM and provides training for common use cases.
